New President for DTS
On August 26th, the President of PRMI in conjunction with the faculty of Doulos Theological Seminary and upon the advice and recommendation of involved Burmese pastors, appointed Stephen Hang Kim as the new president of DTS. Stephen (son-in-law of Dr. Sen Hmung) is a present faculty member, comes highly recommended by his peers, and is a gifted teacher and humble servant. He was the clear choice for assuming this new role. Presently, Stephen, along with other DTS faculty, is undergoing a 3-5 year mentorship/discipleship program to help him transition into this new position. As one Burmese pastor put it, "Stephen definitely has the character and skills to pick up the mantle and be the next generation of Burmese leadership." We are grateful that God has faithfully provided the right people for this new transition in leadership. Please pray for DTS and the country of Myanmar. As of now, it is still too dangerous to resume classes. So, as we meet together virtually each week and discuss character, leadership, personal growth, discipleship, theology, the Scriptures, etc. pray that Stephen will grow and be greatly used of God to continue the legacy of Dr. Hmung and the ministry of DTS for the glory of God and the sake of the gospel.
