Deep in the Mountains

Deep in the mountains of Myanmar, God is using one of our recent DTS graduates, Joseph, to take the gospel to some unreached villages. This is truly a difficult mission. The terrain, the tribal culture, the Animism, and the primitive living conditions (no running water or electricity) make this a challenging work. But years ago, God burdened Joseph to come to this area to start an orphanage to reach children and families with the gospel. There are no government schools so education is a great inroad. Joseph writes, “I am planning to start an orphange in M… town, Eastern Shan State There are no government schools available for children from the mountain Villages. Since they are Animism-spirit worshipers, the main goal is for them to receive Salvation and come to know living God.”

What goal is more worthy than that! This story brings our goal of training nationals full circle. Joseph just graduated 6 months ago; knows the language and culture; and is already on the field doing a work for the Lord in a location where we cannot go. Pray for him and the people he is reaching.
