Persecution on the rise

Anti-conversion laws are being passed in certain states and local districts across parts of India by Hindu majorities in government positions. The intent, frankly, is to legalize persecution against Christians. Jesus-followers are being "cast out" from their homes and communities. They are willing to risk losing everything in order to follow Jesus and not renounce their faith in Him. Recently, one of the pastors in our India-Nepal training group made us aware of 15 families in a community very close to him that were evicted from their homes and sent into the forest. PRMI was able through this pastor to send funds for food, water, clothing, and other essentials as these families were left with nothing. Their courage, faith, and resilience in Christ is admirable. They are truly willing to "count all things as loss for the excellency of knowing Christ Jesus the Lord." In addition, 16 pastors were arrested for preaching Jesus is the Only Way to salvation. We need to pray for these and many other believers who are facing mounting persecution. (Please do not publish or repost this article for safety and security reasons).
